What Is Rice ATM:-
The Rice ATM, also known as an automated grain dispensing machine, is designed to provide rice efficiently and conveniently. These machines function similarly to bank ATMs, dispensing rice to eligible beneficiaries using a smart card.

- Smart Card Access – Ration Card Users Will Be Receive a Smart Card For Rice ATM.
- 24/7 Availability – This ATM Will Be Open 24 Hours For Best Service.
- Capacity and Refill – Can hold a significant quantity of rice, with easy refill mechanisms for operators to restock the machine.
- Maintenance Alerts – Sends alerts for maintenance needs, ensuring the machine operates smoothly and minimizing downtime.
Minister Krushna Chandra Patra Said:-
- According to the Minister, the rice ATM will be set-up in Bhubaneswar within a week and a card will be provided to each ration card beneficiary which can be used to get rice from such ATMs anywhere in the country.
- Currently, there are over 50 lakh ghost ration card beneficiaries. Each one of them will be identified and their names will be deleted from the list and new eligible beneficiaries will be added soon. An order in this regard has been issued to the concerned officials
According to the Minister, the rice ATM will be set-up in Bhubaneswar within a week and a card will be provided to each ration card beneficiary which can be used to get rice from such ATMs anywhere in the country.
